PRODUCT USP

Our leather is made by using fungus grown on specialized beds within controlled condition; with almost zero Occupational Hazard

 The leather obtained in the process is stiff, elastic, waterproof, Fireproof and Dyeable; It is also breathable & Quick Drying.

 The netting structure is similar to the skin of an animal, thus explaining sturdiness of the material with added strength of ‘Chitin’.

PROBLEM WE SEE

  • According to estimates, about 600,000 tons per year of solid waste as well as chemicals containing heavy metals, Noxious Gases & oils are generated worldwide by leather industry and approximately 40–50% of the hides are lost to shavings and trimmings.

  • According to (ICAR), India generates around 350 M Mt of agro waste every year majorly which is burnt generating huge CO2 and other gases emissions that harm the environment; destroys the soil structure and kills beneficial Soil Fauna.

SOLUTIONS WE FOUND

  • Our Biomaterial can solve these issues as the production process will involve utilizing those agriculture wastes as a growing Substrate for the fungus. This will add value to the waste and provide additional income to the farmers. (WASTE TO WEALTH) This leather provides a better option to reduce the use of animal and synthetic leather and shift towards a true sustainable, eco friendly & cruelty-free option.

  • At the end the spent substrate can be turned into a nutrient rich Compost or used for Bio-fabrication
